The Worship Ministry's mission is solely to provide an atmosphere for people to experience and worship Jesus at all Haven services. Through music, sound, reading of the scripture and visuals, this ministry works together in service to God and the whole congregation.

 

Music/Praise Team:

 

The purpose of the Praise and Worship Ministry is to facilitate and lead the congregation in song and worship of God.

 

To be involved with the Praise Team, musical ability is a given but is not as important a relationship with Christ. Praising God can be done many ways, (i.e., dance, art, speaking). To join, tryouts are required. Praise team members must be committed to weekly practice & church attendance including arriving early to church on Sundays for set-up. Members must also be committed to a personal relationship with Christ. People interested in providing special music or worship music other than Praise Band membership will be prayerfully considered. Participants for these specials do not have to be from Haven.

 

This ministry is not about entertainment, but about offering. Our goal is to be skilled enough to lead without distraction or calling attention away from Him. Don't be intimidated to get connected with this ministry or others if you feel God calling you

 

 

Sound:

 

The purpose of this ministry is to set up, tear down and operate the public address system for the service. To be involved, we ask that you have general knowledge of live sound systems, but we would be willing to train. Must have reasonably good hearing to determine the proper volume level. Volunteers need to arrive on Sunday morning at 8:30 and be willing to stay after to help tear down. We could use you once every four to six Sundays.

 

 

Media:

 

The purpose of this ministry is to operate the video projection service. It includes the power point presentation during the sermon and the lyrics projected during music. If you have general computer knowledge or would like to be trained, you may be involved. We need volunteers to arrive about 15 minutes prior to the start of service and start of service and we may only need you once a month.

 

 

Scripture Reading:

 

One of the most important parts of the weekly worship experience is sharing the Word of God. The Scripture Reading Ministry provides an opportunity for those who are interested to read scripture during the service.

Anyone interested may participate, the only requirement is that you are willing and able to read aloud and that you attend regularly. You will be provided with a monthly schedule for planning purposes.
