Jesus Christ provided a very clear mission for the church around Outreach. In Matthew 28:19 he told us to "go and make disciples of all nations" and in Matthew 25, he tells us that whatever we do "for the least of these" (the poor, the hungry, the sick), we do for Him. Haven's Outreach ministry stretches outside our church to those in our community and around the world who are have physical or spiritual needs and to share the love of Christ through service.

 

 

Haven's Helping Hands (HHH):

 

The vision for the community outreach is to provide support to our community and its people who are in need, offering encouragement and hope to all God’s children.

 

Anyone who loves Jesus and has a passion for serving and caring for others is welcome to join the Missions Team. You would be required to actively participate in helping coordinate missions programs within the church and interactions with area charities.

 

 

Street team:

 

The purpose of the Street Team ministry is to find ways to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in our community, region and the world. Also to draw people into the Haven Community family and provide a visible example in the community of Christ’s love and compassion.

 

Street Team Members get involved in visitor welcoming and follow-up as well as community evangelism opportunities. If you have a heart to serve in this capacity and a desire to reach others, this ministry is for you.

 

 

Host team:

 

Host Team provides a warm and welcoming environment for people coming to worship at Haven. From parking attendants and greeters, to the refreshment table and ushers, this ministry provides the first touch of contact for visitors & members alike and gives the first impression of the mission of Haven Community Church.

 

If you are friendly and enjoy interacting with people or if you enjoy baking and serving refreshments, you are a great fit for this ministry. The only requirements for service are that you take an active role in participation and that you demonstrate the love of God in your actions when serving. You will be provided with a monthly schedule for planning purposes.

 

 

Card Ministry:

 

Haven Card Ministry is a way to spread fellowship by sending Birthday cards, Anniversaries, Get-Well cards, Miss You cards or any type of Encouragement card.

 

Each Sunday, many people are lifted in prayer, we would like to send a card to let them know we are praying for them. Addresses are needed. We would also like to reach out to those beyond our church family.

 

Every other Sunday, there will be a table set up with a large white mailbox and index cards for you to fill out. Providing name, address and reason for card, and one will be mailed to them from Haven Community.

 

We encourage anyone who would like to be involved to please contact us. We just ask that you are willing to take a month to send out cards.
